  • Bethan Vincent

    Master

At 23 I founded my first company, Vincent’s Coffee, shortly after graduating from the University of York in the summer of 2013. Vincent’s was founded on the principles of excellent products combined with exemplary ethics; this early interest in ethical business has been a driving factor in my development as a young entrepreneur. My first few years in business proved to be a steep learning curve, however I am extremely grateful for the opportunities, resilience and skills I gained from this experience.

In 2014 I became director of Bright Ethics (UK) Limited, an ambitious and growing company which delivers independent ethical certification to UK organisations in both the public and private sectors. Outside of "work" I am a keen writer and enjoy contributing to a number of publications and blogs. I also write on my own platform at www.bethanvincent.com.

  • Grace Abell Neal

    Deputy Master

I have been a freelance graphic designer for two years, where I work with small enterprises on their print and digital branding and marketing. In 2014 I co-founded York on a Fork magazine, as I am passionate about the local independent food and drink scene. I frequently write for yorkonafork.com.

Expanding my skillset is key to my entrepreneurship. In 2016 I gained a Level 3 qualification in Education and Training, while in 2017 my ambition is to become a certified proofreader. Learning these skills helps me offer greater value to my clients.
